Brantley`s Village Restaurant in Oriental

We love Brantley's breakfast buffet on Saturday mornings in Oreintal! The food is always good and the staff is the best!

Food was excellent. Service was good. Will good. Good.

More like 4 1/2 stars..Love this place..super friendly staff, great food cooked to perfection and homemade pies! The only thing keeping it from a 5 star is a cold beer with my steak, but no alcohol served here.

I went with 10 people who were family and friends on a Friday and we all had the buffet. Most of us were not happy with the taste of the food that they had except the roast beef was awesome. I have been there before and the food was really good. The waitress was nice and the busboy was awesome. I might try it again in the future.

Food was less than satisfactory. Service and atmosphere very ordinary. We felt like we were in a church hall. We went for the seafood buffet but it was just several deep fried things. We were hoping for some lovely fresh seafood. Never again.

Seafood epicurian delight. All is fresh caught,locally. Service is top notch.And the buffet is out of this universeThe menu will satisfy any pallet. Iwould not pass on this place,no matter .Just be hungry.

Great staff and good food

Pretty good double ham n cheese sandwich. Mom liked her fried chicken. Not fond of the city water and no bottled water/beverage choices.

This is the place to go in Oriental if you are hungry. Not fast food, but a real restaurant... although they do have takeout too. Buffet or menu.

Good food at a reasonable price. Enjoyed three meals here while working on a boat in the area. The wait staff was friendly and never let my coffee cup get to empty.

Saw oriental on pbs. My wife aand i decided to go and visit. We ended up eating at brantleys. I havent been that happy after eating seafood in a very long time. The shrimp and flounder was steller. It was the best shrimp I have ever had. Good God.

Got takeout a couple of days ago. Crab cakes were good. Green beans were overcooked a bit. Chocolate pie was very good. BUT...NO ONE was wearing a mask. Not the hostess, the waitress or the cook. If I could give zero stars, I would. I heard the local sheriff is not enforcing the mandate from the governor. What the heck? My next email is to the NC governor.

Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews here. Because my mom and I ate here for lunch and my hot hamburger tasted like it was frozen and just thrown on a hot pan and warmed up and my moms pork chops were still raw inside and were not grilled. Maybe breakfast is better but the lunch menu food is terrible. If you want a great meal for lunch in Oriental then go to The Silos. Always good.

We used to love this place, today was a horrible experience. Soup came out cold but once warmed up was delicious. I’ve had the chicken quesadilla many times and today couldn’t even eat it..nasty. My boyfriend’s fries came out cold..poor service today too. What a shame.

Excellent local place to get fresh seafood. Saturday nights they have a seafood buffet and EVERYTHING on it is excellent. Shrimp, scallops, fish, deviled crab, clam strips, fried oysters, hush puppies etc. Everything is fried to perfection and did I mention fresh?

Not sure what happened, but that was dreadful. Their was one waitress for every customer in the dinning room and the service was still subpar. 10.99 got me some frozen clam strips c grade fries and slaw. My wife had crab cake. Claw meat whipped to oblivion and fishy .Dinning room was dirty and staff seemed upset.

Went on Saturday night. I ordered the buffet which is really good seafood, but my companions ordered off the menu and had to wait over 40 minutes for their food. Only one waitress trying to handle the entire dining room (and another serving a big group in a back room.) She was so harried that she refilled my daughter-in-law's drink with tea repeatedly despite her having originally ordered Pepsi. Asked the owner about the delay, and he admitted to only having two people in the kitchen to cook for the popular buffet AND handle individual orders. "We had a big group in the back" was the excuse, one that he's used before. "We had a 30 ticket backlog most of the night." Really? If you have a summer Saturday night with a popular buffet and a large group booked, wouldn't it make sense to try and staff up for it? And this isn't the first time we've had both the situation and the excuse, so despite the lure of fried seafood, we'll go elsewhere from now on.

Tasty place to eat. The Lunch buffet was nice. The home made fried Okra was the best I have ever had. Highly recommend

We love Brantley's, especially their seafood and Mis Sil's Famous Homemade Chocolate, Coconut and Lemon Cream Pies! There are also plenty of great side items to choose from. We always call ahead and pick up our order to take home. The separate "take out" area is nice as you don't actually have to go into the restaurant. Everyone at Brantley's is friendly and helpful! They are spot on as to the time estimates given for my order to be ready.

I am never disappointed when I eat here. They are so nice, food is always great. I always leave happy!

Very good food at reasonable prices -- very substantial servings! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Judging by the number of customers utilizing it, their buffet is a big draw!
